A group of South London activists launched a protest and leafleting campaign, covering both entrances of the prestigious Blue Fin Building in Southwark, to raise awareness about the absurd presence of BAE Systems in the building. Ironically, the building promotes itself as a space for the community.
In total, around 30 people attended – on a day where temperatures barely crept above freezing – to hand out leaflets to workers and passers by, chant slogans and play the drums.
A letter about the campaign and its demands was delivered to the management of the building, and further morning actions will be taking place this week (8-12th January) from 8am to midday, leading up to a mass rally, the date of which will be announced in due course.
We simply cannot accept the presence of this evil company at the heart of our community while it enables Israel to commit high-tech genocide in Gaza. Free Palestine!
