Parents land Blue Fin in the shit

Picture this: a group of genocide-hating mothers enter the murderous Blue Fin Building, toddlers in tow, to advertise a “bake sale”.

For this was the slightly surreal scene yesterday as Parents For Palestine invaded Blue Fin’s lobby for a second time in the space of a few months.

It took the bewildered security team around ten minutes to realise that the “cakes” on “sale” were in fact “Dirty Water and Starvation Cakes” made from ground animal feed, mixed with bird seeds and grass. This rapidly becoming the standard diet of the Gaza Strip, whose occupants have been bombed by the weapons produced in no small part by BAE Systems – the occupants of the building’s fourth floor.

Leaflets were duly distributed to anyone walking through the building, outlining BAE Systems’ instrumental role in the Palestinian suffering, starvation and genocide. The chanting began shortly afterwards and rang out around the expensive glass-clad foyer of 110 Southwark Street.

Piles of horse manure, hay and nappies were left behind with some messages for Labour and BAE. A taste of their own medicine? We think so!

A good day for Parents for Palestine and one that Blue Fin and its occupants won’t forget in a while. We note that extra security checks were in place this morning to workers entering the building, resulting in significant queues. Talk about shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted!
